While discussing our situation with our children during our weekly Family Meeting, Chris said a very profound thing. First of all, I am the only one in my family who really wants to leave Missouri. Everyone else wants to stay here and try longer. Second, my family is just tired of moving altogether where I am used to it more. I have lived in more places than my family and have a different perspective about moving. I am thankful for these experiences in other states that have shaped my life.
So, back to the profound statement...
While we were discussing the possibility of moving to another state, back to Arizona (not really on the list, but discussed), moving to another location nearby, or staying where we are; Chris said, "Maybe we are here to be the example."
Yes, I have thought of that.
I am thankful for my children who see the big picture of life and can look at things from a perspective that is more than just their own little realm of life. They are willing to discuss and ponder on the fact that maybe they need to make sacrifices for the "better good". I still don't know what will happen, but I am happy to see the process teaching us what it means to follow the Lord's will.

I, too, am grateful to be a parent of kids who can see a different perspective of the whole picture and help me when I need it. It has happened more than once, and I really appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteYou do have good kids.... But You also provided a home for them where they were taught and the Spirit was present, so they could be shaped to who they are today. Ü
That's awesome, Celeste!
ReplyDeleteGreat perspective! I love it when my children do the teaching.
ReplyDeleteIf you ever end up moving I would say that Idaho is a very lovely place and I'll even tell you right where to move. : ) Wink, wink.
I had thought of the "example" perspective for you as well! :0) I, for one, would LOVE it if you came back to AZ. But I also know that through inspiration, you will know what to do and where you belong. Maybe pray, for a sense of belonging, where you are, or for Heavenly Father to help you really KNOW it, if you don't belong there. He won't necessarily tell you where to go, but I know, that through having a good feeling or a stupor of thought, He will help you know His will. Once you know where He needs you to be...ask Him to help you understand your purpose and role in that place! :0)
